A bold initiative,

a lifelong commitment

Shashwat Gatha is more than just an initiative. It’s a lifelong commitment toward sustainability. In Sanskrit, Shashwat Gatha means an unending story of sustainability. And that’s what we aim to do with this initiative, for years to come. With measures that are rooted in nature and culture and a mission that is founded on concern for the planet, this program will create a shared platform for different stakeholders of the society to come together as one and discuss and implement sustainable solutions in the context of modern urban living.

The ingredients of our sustainable story

  • Environmental conservation at the core
  • Efficient and long-lasting solutions
  • Focus on concrete, sustainable action
  • Equitable and just participation of all
  • Rooted in nature and culture
  • Conscious consumption practice

WHYSHASHWAT GATHA?

The world is in pressing need of positive action that can limit and/or reverse the harm that is already inflicted on the planet. The OC Foundation has taken numerous steps in this direction and Shashwat Gatha is one of them. Keeping in tune with the United Nations Environment Program and Sustainable Development Goals, this initiative will present a great opportunity to the people of Dehu and beyond, to see true sustainable development in action and in harmony with the present-day needs of the modern society.

Conducted mainly at Gathagram, Dehu (a green township aspiring to be India’s first carbon-neutral city), Shashwat Gatha is all set to stand on rich, fertile grounds and take off its mission to more such places across the country.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The saga of sustainability does not belong to a particular group of people. It belongs to everyone who calls this planet home. We are going to collaborate with people from all walks of society and create a common platform for all stakeholders of the society to participate in sustainable development and long-lasting prosperity for the planet and for our future generations.

Real estate developers, environmentalists, corporate authorities, policymakers, social activists, administrative authorities, researchers, educationists, youth and influencers are some of the stakeholders involved in this endeavor.

Making tiny differences

to achieve lofty goals

We believe in effective and conscious action that comes from a place of responsibility towards the planet.

The aim of Shashwat Gatha is to achieve the sustainable development goals of UNDP and create a better and greener world for our prosperous future through simple and effective steps. Plantation drives, ocean cleaning drives, biodiversity conservation, ecological initiatives, sustainable and conscious use of natural resources, renewable energy utilization, carbon footprint reducation, and conversations around greener ways of living are going to be an integral part of Shashwat Gatha.
